Architects and engineers prefer CAD drawings over manual drawings!

What is the reason that all the architects and engineers across the world are willing to use CAD drawings services and not manual drawings?  Since the time the worldwide Architecture, Engineering and Construction professionals got to know about computer aided design technology, they have effectively understood that this particular technology has the capacity to change the entire structure of the industry in terms of how people associated to it perform.

Since the human being started the practice of developing buildings and other important structures such as flyovers and towers etc, for making their life comfortable, they had always been developing the design of  all these buildings and structures manually.

That means the process of manual design development has existed for centuries, and there were many disadvantages of it compared to digital design process. Since design and construction professionals had to develop all the technical drawings (which are very complex in nature) manually, it is true that it used to consume unexpectedly large amount of time to complete them.

Technical drawings for architecture, structure and MEP are always developed separately by drafters with the instruction of architects and engineers. The specifications provided by architects and engineers, carry detailed instructions and notes about the design of building systems, and based on them drafters used to generate handmade technical drawings.

But architects and engineers found the CAD drawings too interesting and productive, when they started experiencing them. All the other drafting techniques are still same apart from that fact that drawings are now generated with the support of computer software. Mostly AutoCAD is used for executing drafting services, since it is believed that as of now only it contains the most dynamic tools which are needed for generating digital drawings.

Easy communication facilitated by CAD drawings, helps in increasing the productivity of drafters, architects, engineers and fabricators etc.  These drawings are used throughout project lifecycle, and hence their swift communication makes them highly important. If clients feel like making some changes to the drawings, it can be easily done by the drafters with the support of the editing tools contained within the software.
